Beatriz and Ben are wonderful. You’ll remember their unique and adorable apple-picking engagement session here. They met at Bradley University (my college!!) over 4 years ago. They truly bring out the best in one another, and this was repeated over and over during the course of their reception by friends and family members. We started the day with a gorgeous ceremony at Santa Maria del Popolo in Mundelein – this is probably my favorite church we’ve ever photographed in. I just loved the setting and scenery (I’ll let the photos do the talking). Then we headed over to the Mundelein Seminary (University of Saint Mary of the Lake) for portraits against a stunning background. There is just something about winter light, and I am so happy they braved the cold because winter has a beautiful light to it. Byron Colby Barn in Grayslake was the gorgeous reception site – a beautiful wooden barn with some of the cutest decorations (my favorite was the ‘coffee bar’ they made – with personalized coffee sleeves and baileys, marshmallows, and candy canes) – cupcakes, a precious moments cakes topper, and so many other personalized details. My favorite part of the barn was the upper level where guests could watch the first dance, toasts, and cake cutting from above. We absolutely loved working with Beatriz and Ben, they are so loving to each other and I’m so excited for their marriage and start of their lives together. Please enjoy the photos!
