I’ll start this post by saying that this is very dear to my family and I . With the passing of my grandfather 4 years ago, it was truly a blessing to get together with my mom’s side of the family and celebrate the joy that my grandma has found in Tim. A recent widower as well, Tim coming into my grandma’s life could only be a blessing from God. Isaiah 61: 1-3 explains this well:

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me…
To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”
