Mary and Jerry have been together since high school. Over 10 years of being in love, so when Jerry proposed he made a pretty big deal out of it. He took Mary to the top of the Glenbard West hill (where we all went to school), and one of their friends was there playing their song. He proposed right there, and then their best friends (Sarah and Steve), popped out with champagne and sparklers. Oh, and it started snowing right when Jerry proposed (could that get any more romantic??). But the night didn’t end there. Jerry had gathered all of their family and friends together at a restaurant for what he told them was a surprise birthday party for Mary. So he managed to surprise everybody – Mary, and all of their friends and family. I absolutely loved their engagement story, so it was only natural that when choosing a location for their engagement session, we went back to the place where they fell in love. Visiting our old high school was a trip – I think all of us agreed that we do NOT miss the millions of stairs you’re forced to climb when you’re there :) But being inside of there – and revisiting the spot where Mary and Jerry would sit and hang out each morning before class, and the spot where Jerry proposed; it was such a sweet thing to be a part of. I had so much fun at this session, and I cannot wait to share the pics. Enjoy!
